The principal development objective of the project is to support the higher education strategy of the GOI (2015 - 2019), which aims at improving national competitiveness through innovation in Higher Education (HE).
The Support to the Development of Higher Education Project involves seven universities namely, the University of Tanjung Pura in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, State University of Yoyakarta in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, State University of Surabaya in Surabaya, East Java, Sam Ratulangi University in Manado, North Sulawesi, State University of Gorontalo in Gorontalo, and Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh, the Special Region of Aceh.
Indonesia Integrated Community Driven Development (ICDD) Phase III Project (ICDD) Phase III Project aims to achieve sustainable improvement in the well-being of poorer communities through community empowerment.
The project aims to provide basic sanitation services that will improve health and livelihood of communities and to increase the public awareness about Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). The Community Driven Sanitation will help addressing the health issues induced by open defecation and poor sanitation by providing community based infrastructure for sanitation in 13 provinces with a demand responsive approach.
The Support to the Development of the Islamic Higher Education (IHE) in Indonesia project involves four State Institutes of Islamic Studies (IAIN), namely IAIN Sumatera Utara (Medan, North Sumatera), IAIN Raden Fatah (Palembang, South Sumatera), IAIN Walisongo (Semarang, Central Java) and IAIN Mataram (Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.
Support to the Quality Improvement of the Vocational Training Centers Project aims to support the Government of Indonesia’s Strategy for the development of the vocational/technical education.
The overall objective of the Project is the promotion of sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction in Southern Java and Northern Kalimantan as a whole and the project areas in particular. The primary outcome is improved transport accessibility and connectivity.
The IDB Group and the Government of Indonesia are collaborating to improving the access and quality of teaching and learning at the Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP – State University of Padang), West Sumatera, as a part of its Humanitarian Emergency Response and Rehabilitation Package for the Earthquake in Sumatera, Indonesia.
